So this is something that I'm really excited to share. There's this cool little cafe/space in Duxton Rd, opened recently by a friend of a friend. They sell interesting books, musicians can come in to use their space to stage a little performance, people will be invited to come in to talk about social issues (migrant workers & minimum wage are the 2 topics lined up for March). They also hold some really fun & wacky stuff like powerpoint KTV as well as Music Camp. They're all fun & wacky & serious at the same time. Just the kind of place I like to go. :D

And next Sunday they'll be holding a fortnightly flea market, Sunday Eclectica, which i'll be taking part. We've even got a cozy little corner, so hopefully you will get a nice space to take a look at our stuff and generally have a good time. :)

I've generally never been a huge fan of lockets coz the local supplies always didn't yield very pretty lockets, nor seem sturdy enough for long time use. But recently i managed to get my hands on a batch of heirloom lockets that were made from the same machines that made lockets 50 years ago. Yes, proper heirloom stuff made to last for decades.

I figured this locket would be a good piece of jewelry to start this decade. Aeryn features a thick brass filigree locket measuring 45mm width. I probably can't explain how good this feels in your hands, except that it's got a really good weight & sturdiness that you get when you touch good quality products. Some things just feel solidly built and give you that assurance y'know.

I know that the price may seem exceptionally high (and i'm not marking up much on it, not that i usually do but you get my point), but i'd assure you when this lasts you at least 10 years, you'd probably look at it differently.

The refreshing rains have come along, and Green Bottles captures that refreshing feeling perfectly for me. If you watch Vampire Diaries, you'll know what i'm talking about. Mystic Falls, home to the supernatural, vampires, werewolves, amongst i'm sure more creatures that we'll see as the seasons unfold. Mystic Falls is also home to a few love stories, a story of strong friendships, and of growing up. We all know how all that feels. Almost aww-inducing.

I'm back from the hols, it was a fantastic week spent in Perth. The weather was absolutely delightful, it being winter & all. And the view was the most amazing! Being a city girl always makes me yearn for the tall trees, the meadows, the rolling countryside and the most amazing beaches.

The trip took me from Perth, down to Margaret River, down to Walpole & Denmark and back up to Perth. Along the way we stopped at the many beautiful beaches. This mother of pearl starfish & glass briolette sums up the gorgeousness of those beaches for me. Clear blue seas, and white foamy waves that crash up against the rocky outcrops. Such is the simplicity of nature.

I hope it conjures up similar imagery for you when you wear this necklace. A place of serenity of your own.

As we all know, flamingoes are famed for resting on one foot, some interesting reasons have been posited, but til now it's still not entirely clear. The most interesting one of which says that they are able to rest half their body, while the other half is awake. But of course, it remains but just a theory. Maybe wearing this necklace, will help u shut half a brain when you need to chillax from the daily grind. And if anybody says you're not as sharp, you can always say "yeah but i'm using half a brain." 14k gold plated flamingo measures 5cm, while black electroplated chain measures 22", finished off with a 14k gold plated lobster clasp.

2nd necklace of the K + 79 collection. Pyrite is also commonly known as fool's gold. Back in the gold mining days, pyrite with its silverish tone & gold flecks or brassy tone (depending on which spectrum of the gemstone you were getting), was easily mistaken for gold, therefore it's name. I've wirewrapped the pyrite gumdrop with 14k gold headpin, and strung it on a black electroplated chain. First of the Black & Gold collection, as the name of the collection states, it's all about black & gold, in colour and its various interpretations. It's definitely something edgier, funkier and more close to my heart than the other collections that i've come up with, coz it's just the way i dress. Also in the little touches where, i've tweaked it for that really personal feel, so I hope you like it!

Thank you for all who came down and those who came along and were wearing black tops with the black balloons, hope you liked your little gift. I had a really good time on Sunday, the stall location was pretty good (for me), i had 3 tables, a long sofa so that friends who came could sit down comfortably to chat, as well as friends of customers who were waiting for their friends to shop. Decent food, decent drinks (cheap martinis, I don't drink a lot but lychee martinis are really yummy), air conditioning & good music. Pretty much the best location to hold a flea. I'll be taking part at Flea & Easy's the August edition - Beauty & the Feast. It is next Sunday, 2 Aug, from 2pm - 8pm. ~~Right now i don't have my stall number yet~~ and blogger is not allowing my to upload pictures. Watch this space for more information leading up to Sunday.

My stall number is 57 & it's at the Zouk Member's Area (2nd level) at the round tables. I will be getting balloons to make it easier for identification. Got home earlier today coz i was totally exhausted by work. To the extent that when i turned my head my vision lags by 2 seconds. I feel like an unresponsive computer. I am also slowly falling sick. Hopefully i get to rest over the long weekends (if there is, since the company hasn't announced it yet so far).

Anyway i've been in touch with the ladies at TRIOOO with regards to their necklace. I first met them at MAAD late '07 when I bought my Swing-it from them. I still carry it out on weekends or when i head out for supper, it is such a nifty carry. Super love the fabric choice that i purchased, and it really stands out from the crowd. Nothing beats carrying something handmade that fits your needs. Recently they've launched their latest collection, the Sling-its with truly adorable prints!

Dream in technicolour of purple & yellow, the royal colours of amethyst & citrine. Ametrine is to me an amazing semi-precious stone that showcases nature's beauty at its peak of artistic endeavours. The original stone amethyst, when subjected to immense amounts of heat, turns to citrine. However heating may be irregular due to formation, shapes and a multitude of reasons, therefore resulting in what some may call half-baked Ametrine. To me, this is amazing, just coz few stones can call themselves a transition point of 2 stones! Ametrine dreams carry a 20mm faceted ametrine brio, draped over 14k gold plated fancy hoops. I've tried to pick the closest in terms of colour banding an intensity of colour as best as possible, seeing nature always dictates the designs, rather than me.

This would be a lovely present for mummy dearest coming this Mother's Day. A matching necklace can be requested, should you require a full set as a present. I do not foresee myself to be uploading much items, unless work proves otherwise.
